Business groups scramble to reopen government Lobbyists with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other business organizations are urging lawmakers to end the government shutdown and avoid a looming default on the federal debt, according to Bloomberg news. It's an odd situation for many groups, which for years had rallied for smaller government.
